Casey Schreiner is a former science teacher born and raised in Great Falls, a lifetime union member, husband of Teresa Schreiner, and the proud father of three young boys.  Casey Served Great Falls in the Montana House of Representatives from 2013-2021. Prior to his terming out of the Legislature, Casey served as the House Minority Leader during one of the most successful legislative sessions in Montana’s recent history. He fought to pass legislation that made healthcare more affordable, helped rebuild Montana’s crumbling infrastructure, and delivered health and safety to our first responders.

Casey is a champion for working families because he comes from one. As House Minority Leader, Casey broke the logjam on reauthorizing Medicaid expansion and protecting health care for 1 in 10 Montanans, delivered a major infrastructure package that will break ground all across the state, and pushed for firefighter health and safety legislation that nearly two decades in the making. He was proud to lead during the legislative session that delivered crucial reforms to the statute of limitations on child sex abuse crimes and gave law enforcement the tools to seek justice for missing and murdered Indigenous women.

Casey was born and raised in Great Falls. A 2005 graduate of Montana State University in Cell Biology and Neuroscience, Casey quickly turned his attention to education. In the summer of 2006, he became the Montana State University Minority Representative. During his tenure at MSU, Casey found that he had a passion for education. Through the Northern Plains Transition to Teaching Program he was able to obtain his Montana teaching license and moved to Butte to begin teaching science. While living in Butte, Casey was introduced to the love of his life, Teresa Bartoletti. Casey and Teresa were married in July of 2010. In the Spring of 2010 Casey earned his M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and soon after accepted a position with the Great Falls Public Schools as the alternative high school’s biology teacher at the Paris Gibson Education Center and later a position at East Middle School.  He then went on to serve as the Executive Director of the State Workforce Innovation Board as well as the the Work-Based Learning Director for the Montana Department of Labor and Industry.  Now the father of three (Aiden 9, Liam 7, and Finn 5) serves as the Vice President of Strategy and Innovation for Alluvion Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Great Falls.

Casey is excited to have roots planted firmly in Great Falls. He is proud of the community in which he was raised, and would be extremely honored to once again serve the people of Great Falls.
